Amtrak signal failure causing heavy delays for PM commute

The latest in a string of long commutes, an Amtrak signal problem around 4pm caused massive delays at Penn Station, the nation’s busiest railroad station. The incident caused a severe reduction in service on the Long Island Rail Road, as well as delays lasting over forty-five minutes on New Jersey Transit, the two largest passenger railroads in the country. It is not immediately clear what caused the issue with the infrastructure.
